Gunpowder Green is a China loose green tea with tightly rolled leaves. This tea has full body with a light earthiness and hints of smoke.
1 scant teaspoon tea per 8 oz of water.
For the best tasting tea, use spring water or filtered water. The quality of the water is as important as the tea itself. This tea is best steeped for 2-3 minutes at 175-185F.
Green teas respond best to less than boiling water.... water that is too hot can overwhelm the subtle flavors that an individual tea may exhibit if infused with cooler water. Experiment with what tastes best to you.
