Now considered one of Europe’s most prized free flying destinations, Slovenia has grown as a flying location to such an extent that it warrants its own guidebook.
The little known country sits at the eastern end of the European Alpine chain and offers friendly, relatively low-altitude Alpine flying conditions that are accessible to a wide range of pilot. It is a much cheaper alternative to the more established flying meccas of France, Switzerland and Austria and relatively untouched and undeveloped in comparison. Slovenia has hosted several World Cup events and FAI Cat 1 competition.
The Slovenian Flying Guide is a 168 page publication that delivers detailed information and maps for all the major flying sites, plus all the other essential information for pilots flying in Slovenia.
The author, Matevz Gradisek, says, 'The main idea behind The Slovenian Guidebook’ is to select and present the best flying areas in Slovenia and to provide enough information collected in a single place to allow quality flying anytime anywhere.
The Slovenian Flying Guide is published in both Slovenian and English.
