The Lavender Fields® has partnered with WomenHeart, a National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, the #1 killer of women. Ask any woman, young or old, what health problems she’s worried about, and heart disease rarely makes her list. 8,000,000 women live with heart disease. They know how life-altering and devastating this disease can be to their physical and mental health and to those who love them. This generalized lack of recognition of the importance and impact of heart disease, both by women and their health care providers, has prompted The Lavender Fields® to help WomenHeart educate women. On Mothers Day, volunteers from WomenHeart come to The Lavender Fields® to meet and greet and offer educational information. These courageous women tell their stories and offer helpful advice. To help raise funds, The Lavender Fields® has agreed to collect donations for this worthy cause. 100% of the proceeds will go to WomenHeart.
