Aided by an “electronic vent,” the headset is designed to reduce hazardous impulse noise from firearms to harmless levels within 5 milliseconds. This minimizes the risk of hazardous noise reaches the ear with risk of permanent damage.
A separate microphone, receiver, amplifier and volume control in each cup give the Peltor Sound Trap true stereophonic reception. Soundtrap is identical to the Tactical 6-S but is olive green color and has an audio jack on the left earcup.
