McKay Soft-Arc 7018-1 Mild Steel Low Hydrogen Stick Electrode - E7018-1 H4 - 3/32" X 14" - 50 lb Can - S422432-035

Soft-Arc 7018-1 is a low hydrogen iron powder electrode designed for AC or DC operation in all positions. This electrode has excellent operator appeal with a quiet arc, minimal spatter and good restrike capabilities. Soft-Arc 7018-1 also offers good slag removal and an easily controlled weld puddle that enables good base metal tie-in. The weld deposit produced with this electrode is of X-ray quality and exceeds the CVN impact requirements of 20 ft•lbf at –50°F.

APPLICATIONS:

Used for fabricating mild and low alloy steel base materials as well as shipbuilding, piping applications, mining operations, boiler work and general maintenance applications.
