This is the essential dark roast coffee for those who like oil on the beans right out of the roaster.

When I lived in France, weekends were spent in a small dirt floor cabin in the mountains beyond St. Cézaire, up the road from a small village called Fox De Perole. It was completely off the beaten path, isolated right up against some soaring granite mountains. That is, until some people put up an unnecessarily huge house right behind us. In the mornings while sipping coffee, taking in the priceless view, we would joke that they probably had better brew then we did.

Not any more Monty, because this coffee is special! I roast it twice, cooling the beans between the roasts in order to preserve the core flavors of these three great beans. The price is a tad higher than most, but once this coffee takes you on a mental voyage to Provence, believe me, it's worth it.
