Welcome to Patricia Green Cellars Store

It is time to order your 2012 Small lot Pinot Noirs before they run out not to mention that we have just hit one of the short best shipping times for most of the country. So order your bottle wines to ship now and your 2012's to ship in the fall. Cheers! Please note you will be notified via e-mail from UPS with a tracking number when your shipment leaves the winery. Sorry but we only ship in the United States. There are a few states that do not allow shipping as well and we will let you know if we can not process your order.

You must be 21 to order wine. All wines are sold in Oregon and the title passes to the buyer in Oregon. By placing an order the buyer authorizes Patricia Green Cellars to act on buyers behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver the order. Shipping laws have become so weird it is impossible to write down on a piece of paper what states are covered in what ways. Odds are we can ship to you. Some places we can not. Give it a shot and we will try to work something out.

Please call Melissa at 503-554-0821 for availability of large format bottles.

To place your order by phone, please call (503) 554.0821. We will ship in 3, 6, 12 bottle increments. Case discount of 15% on 12 or more bottles of wine will be applied after your order is received and verified.

2009 Ana Vineyard Pinot Noir

2009 Ana Vineyard: This site is located in the bowl off of Worden Hill Rd. where it lies adjacent to Goldschmidt, Weber and Arcus vineyards. Planted in 1978, Ana was a purchased a few years ago by vineyard manager extraordinaire Andy Humphrey. This is our 5th vintage with Ana Vineyard however we added a new block to the mix which we have had our eyes on since the first year we started getting fruit from this site. It finally fell into our lap in 2009 and it is going to add some volume to the bottling (we bottled only 190 cases last year) but more importantly it will actually increase the quality of the final blend that we choose for the Ana Vineyard bottling.

There is simply no replacing well-farmed, older-vines. The nuances, texture and innate complexity that these older vines provide are not qualities that a winemaker can fake. You either have these older vines and are able to bring forth these positive elements or you don’t. With Ana Vineyard these qualities make for incredible aromatics of rose petals, freshly cooked lamb, and earth toned red-spices. The texture is always graceful, at once being mouth-filling but never in an aggressive way. The finish is long, subtle and complete. In a vintage like 2009 where most things move toward the big, black and bold, Ana Vineyard retains the characteristics that we love so much about it which are the balance, freshness, subtlety and sexiness of the entire package. There is no mistaking that there is a wealth of intensity in this wine but it is red-fruited to the core in both the aromatic and flavor profiles. The mid-palate is appropriately sweet and viscous without being the least bit overdone and the finish is spicy, long, silky and complex. A classic bottling of Ana Vineyard. Hard to say how much will be produced as we have a host of options.
