Michigan SHORTER SHIFTER, by Mike Bouse
You are viewing a Fiat 124 Spider and Spider 2000 short shifter lever as manufactured by Mike Bouse. The shift lever is much shorter than the factory chromed extension and does away with the cumbersome multi-part bushing and plastic retaining clip arrangement. This shifter extension is held in place by a pair of set screws. I have driven my own Spider with one of these levers for a while and I LOVE the shifter feel; you will too! Machined out of a solid rod of stainless steel. You will need to use a ball type shift knob as the threaded section of the lever will not extend into the conical shaped wooden knobs as used on 1979 and later Fiat Spider 2000.
