Our name is Mud is a Cinderella ceramics story. Owner Lorrie Veasey started the company by selling her unique pottery designs at small venues and street fairs held in New York City. What began as a card table on a city sidewalk evolved over the course of ten years to a multi million dollar company, and has made a leader in the ceramic giftware industry. After experiencing great success at temporary locations, opened its first permanent location in Manhattan in 1995, with partners John Nelsen and Kip Veasey. Building upon the success they experienced in their first small store front, the partners opened three additional outlets in quick succession. In New York City, was quickly becoming synonymous with unique, whimsical giftware and attracted a variety of celebrity clients that included Julia Roberts, Bill Murray, and Robert DeNiro. Each piece in the line is bold, fresh and colorful, with witty sentiments that make the customer feel that he/she has found a truly unique gift suited to a specific individual.
