NEW! ATOMIC NOMAD BLACKEYE 164CM W/ NEOX412 BINDING (not mounted)
The Atomic Nomad series skis are designed for true all-terrain skiing. Wider midsections and vibration absorbing features allow for easy maneuvering in deep snow, and rough terrain, while the responsive shape and sidecut provide a precise feel on groomed terrain. The Atomic Blackeye ski is the perfect ski for athletic skiers looking for precision and performance in a variety of conditions. With the moderately wider width and deep sidecut, this ski handles any snow and terrain with ease.
If you are an aggressive expert and want to ski everything - the Atomic Nomad Blackeye Skis with the Atomic Neox 412 Binding is an excellent choice.
Features:
-
Ten (10) TFC triangular sectors (6 front / 4 rear) ensure that the ski remains flexible for comfortable and safe performance even at high speeds. Nano reinforcement is integrated between the TFC sectors to provide exceptional torsional rigidity without adding cumbersome weight.
-
Beta Torsion Flex Control (TFC) offers maximum edge grip and excellent torsional rigidity while maintaining a soft flex for almost effortless turns.
-
Nano technology enables individual atoms and molecules to be processed into thin coatings that are up to 50 times harder and lighter than steel.
-
Densolite, a preformed and sculpted microcellular foam core, is lighter and more lively than wood, reducing swing weight for simple handling.
-
Graphite base tunes easily and glides well over all snow conditions.
SKI REVIEWS:
Canada's Ski Press Mag: "Pilot to bombardier — get ready for an explosive ride. The Blackeye is a bombs-away kind of ski that needs a forceful captain at the controls. When that happens, kaboom! The ski powers into big turns with assertive edge grip, then exits with jet-propelled energy. This is really a GS carver in freeride clothing — a solid all-terrain ski that really excels when executing big-assed turns. “A skier must be in good shape to ride these skis,” wrote one tester. Powerful pilots, fasten your chest harnesses. WHEN NO FORCE IS APPLIED, THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS."
SKINET.COM: Testers have come to expect more from Atomic in this category, but less is better. The Blackeye has power, heft and stability, but it’s less demanding - not to mention far less heavy - than recent Atomics. The Blackeye is similar to the Nomad Crimson Ti (AME Freeride), but in a narrower width and with no metal. Unflappable stability remains its greatest strength, but never at the expense of general ease. “Light, quick and still plenty stable,” said Schoff.
Skiing Mag: said. "The Black Eye will be the most useful Atomic for a broad range of experts. It’s damp and powerful, but never lifeless or unruly. It loves high-speed arcing but puts up impressive scores for rebound energy.".
