SIZING GUIDE for your dogs needs | The list below is meant to be a guide many items will vary by style and manufacturer each listing should include more detailed info on the size of that item including girth and length, but this should give you a good place to start looking for the size you need. Often times especially with small breeds the girth will be on the thin side and a compromise has to be made between length and girth. Many sellers recommend going with the length but we have found in most cases the girth is more important and some length can be sacrificed to keep the item fitting your dogs torso better with most items (except for 4 legged items such as PJ's where length can not be short) We have included a link to a metric convertor to aide our global friends http://www.worldwidemetric.com/metcal.htm | Garment measuring for proper size Please be certain of your measurements for sizes measure your pet with a cloth tape measure (if you don't have a cloth tape measure you can use a piece of string and a yard stick) 1. measure for length from the back of the head at the base of the neck, where the shoulder blades meet to the spot just before the tail starts and this will give you the corresponding size for length (Topline). For example if your measurement is 12” the typical garment will be a size 12. But many times leaner breed’s or a plump pet will require a different size so you also will need a girth measurement. 2.For girth measure from behind the front legs all the way around the widest part of the chest, so that we can get the proper fit for you. A dachshund for example is not going to fit by length and usually will wear the next size down. Compare your measurement to the one’s provided in the listing or the size data chart link above and if you need further assistance please Email us here with any Questions 3.For neck measurements the same thing applies all the way around Measurements by length | | typical measurements 8"-13” xx-small to small - Toy poodle
