OBEY cleverly use the establishment‚Äôs own insignias against them by deconstructing some popular elements seen in military graphics and reconstructing to fight the good fight. A broken sword clashes with a snapped-in-half arrow in the middle of a wreath to form a PEACE sign. This one, entitled "Duality of Innocence"? depicts a young boy in the shambled midst of a war stricken town, glaring directly into the camera. The finger in his mouth reveals what remains of his childlikeness, while the machine gun slung over his shoulder is evidence of the burdens of adulthood forced upon him at such a young age.
