Shields Pictures, Inc. Celebrates its 21st Year in Entertainment!

Founded in 1987, Shields Pictures is an Entertainment Media Corporation involved in television, film and all forms of digital media production.

We have produced award-winning children/family programming for HBO, Discovery Channel and the American Movie Classics cable network among countless others.

In addition to the “Popular Science” Historic Paramount Cinema Series, we also own the “Unusual Occupations” series of color theatrical short subjects (astounding profiles of odd jobs, weird work, bizarre collectors and outrageous hobbies) as well as the two-time Academy Award-winning “Speaking of Animals” talking animal series (you haven’t lived until you’ve seen our all-monkey western!)

Our debut “Popular Science” DVD release represents our very first excursion into the world of DVD home video. Thanks to the overwhelming response we’ve received from our wonderful customers, rest assured that this is only the beginning!
