This is NOT one of those cheap disposable heat guns that you get at the hardware store. The one is designed for the long haul. It's lightweight... only 2-1/2 lbs. (That's over 30% lighter than most conventional models.) You also get and adjustable air intake regulator for variable temperature adjustment. The double jacketed nozzle and shield helps maintain cool exterior temperatures. With it's 3 position fingertip switch... Hot - Cold - Off, you are less likely to burn-out the element. The 8 ft. three wire grounding type cord gives you plenty of room to work.
